Linzie Starr, a Southern Californian endurance sports athlete discovered his love of running by accident. In 2011 he began running to be more active. He instantly realized that he began feeling more alive and spirited after his runs. In May of 2012 he ran his first half marathon in Orange County, California. He was instantly hooked and knew this was something he wanted to continue. In 2012 he ran 9 half marathons from May-December. In January 2013 he ran his first marathon.

Linzie has run more than 25 marathons including 3 Boston Marathons and more than 50 half marathons. He is a decorated runner with many prestigious honors including being a Marathon Maniac and a Half Fanatic (Double Agent). Linzie has a passion for both road and trail races. He spends a lot of time in the Southern California hills training building speeds and endurance. He finds something inspiring about climbing to the summits and finds peace in nature. Linzie will soon take on new challenges as he trains for a 50K distance, begins cycling, and has ambitions to become an Ironman! This is certainly a journey you won’t want to miss.

He has a passion for fundraising and inspiring others to achieve their full potential. Linzie has raised more than $15,000 for various charities he is passionate about including The American Cancer Society, The Boston Bruins Foundations, The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston, Little Things for Cancer, and Stand Up For Cancer.

His blog is all about sharing his race stories, reviewing new products, and his favorite topic…giving away various products and race entries!

Linzie is a brand ambassador for Garmin, Skechers Performance, The Abbott World Marathon Majors, Orange Mud, Pro Compression, and The Conqur Endurance Group. He also is an esteemed member of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series blogger team and a ASICS 2015 Blogger Challenge athlete for the TCS NYC Marathon.
