It’s that time again, it is time to kick off Boston Marathon fundraising. It is quite possibly some of the most rewarding work I get to do. I get to raise some serious awareness about a worthwhile cause and organization all while collecting funds to help other people. So far collectively over the past 3 1/2 years we have raised close to $25,000 to help battle cancer. This year is no exception. This year we raise money again for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Kidney Disease and Cancer funds. What is so great about this fund is that the money doesn’t just go into a bucket for “research”. The money goes directly to patient and family care. Paying bills, paying for treatments, family services, and finding a cure. Kidney disease affects one in ten people, and most people don’t know they have it. It is known as a silent killer and we can do what we can to stop it. Our goal this year is $6,000. I know it is a lot of money, but I just think back to 2014 when we raised $8,500 in 60 days flat. I know anything is possible with you guys behind me.
Donate to fight cancer and you could win a #FitBit Charge HR! #BostonMarathon
What is the Prize and How Can I Win?
So, the first prize you can win will be donated once we hit the $1,000 mark and we are just shy of that by about $600 dollars. The first prize is a FitBit Charge HR!
Who doesn’t love a fun gadget, right? It is simple. For every $25 you donate, you will receive one ticket into the drawing which will take place live on Periscope. So if you donate $50, you get two tickets. This giveaway will be available up until we hit the $1,000 milestone for donations. Then I will draw the winning name, and announce the next prize. Remember this is for charity so please share and encourage others to join in the fight against kidney disease and cancer. It takes a village, and you are my tribe. Also, ALL donors will get a limited edition card and item from me this summer Don’t delay, let’s add some people to my wall of fame and help in the fight against cancer. Donate here and spread the word! I can’t do it without you guys. Good luck and thank you for your support!
